Andrea Markway, Au.D.

Dr. Andrea Markway has been affiliated with the Hearing Health Center of Houston since 2015. In that time, she has cared for adults and children with all levels of hearing loss. With experience in hearing aids and cochlear implants, her goal is to improve a patient’s ability to communicate with loved ones and to flourish in everyday life. Andrea most enjoys developing relationships with her patients and brainstorming joint goals for successful communication. 

Andrea earned her Honors Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from St. Louis University in St. Louis, MO and her Doctorate of Audiology from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, MO (2011). She completed her fourth-year externship at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical College in New York City. She has gained experience working in a variety of clinical settings across the country. 

When not in the clinic, Andrea enjoys watching The Great British Bakeoff, playing mahjong and attending book club. Her two sons keep her and her husband busy.  

After taking a sabbatical to live in Beijing, China, she has rejoined the practice in 2025. While learning Mandarin Chinese there, she was reminded more than ever of just how important communication is.
