Sumer's passion for audiology initiated after accompanying her hard-of-hearing grandmother to her audiologist appointments. Observing the profound improvement her grandmother experienced with hearing aids inspired Sumer to pursue a career in audiology, aiming to help others hear and communicate effectively.

Throughout her training, Sumer has gained diverse experience working with patients in various settings including ENT clinics, private practices, and hospitals. She values the deep connections she forms with each patient, building trust and comfort in her care. Sumer is inspired by the transformative power of audiology in improving lives, believing that helping people regain their ability to hear is not just a clinical task but a profound way to enhance their overall quality of life and well-being.

In addition to her professional pursuits, Sumer enjoys outdoor activities, spending quality time with her  family and friends, trying out the diverse restaurant scene in Houston, attending workout classes, traveling, cooking, ad reading. She loves Houston for its diversity, friendly community, and the abundance of activities and attractions the city offers. Sumer is beyond excited to start her fourth-year externship at the Hearing Health Center of Houston, where she looks forward to applying her skills and passion to make a positive impact on the community.
